Privileges.

Bismillah ...

its Canada day today . so, basically, we get long weekend this time. and as usual, parties till dawn were everywhere.  sexy and drunk people scattered around toronto city. its a normal scenery during the night of early weekend here. after performing our jemaah fajr prayer, my friends and I were heading to Tim Hortons. We were having some discussion about the privileges that have been given to bumiputera in Malaysia. Whether  it is fair or not. For me myself, I was discussing this issue not to win the debate among us, but more to trigger our mind with to think more critically and get different opinions from others.

As we know, fairness is about putting something on the right place. So, the question is, are the privileges suppose to be given to us? We also questioned ourselves whether we are good enough to get those opportunities, to be here, fully sponsored to study in Canada. Can we get this chance, if we were evaluated base on meritocracy?

I don't want to discuss our opinions here because this issue is quite sensitive. some of us have different point of views. its good to talk about this among friends. however, we were just having our discussion so that we can fill our 'lepaking' time with knowledge and not just wasting our time.

Whatever the answer is, we should be aware now, we should use the privileges wisely and don't let this chance causes us  to be lazy and feel comfortable.

WAllahua'lam .
